Frequently Asked Questions

Limited Edition and Original Art

Where can I get more information and advice about buying art?

Our art gallery has a team of skilled art consultants who are able to offer help and advice on buying a piece of art. You can either contact the gallery direct by ringing or emailing the gallery, details are on our Contact Us

Wishbone also publishes a bi-annual magazine called Fine Art Collector, which includes a wealth of information and articles about our artists. To register for a free subscription, please visit the Contact Us page.

What is an edition size?

Unlike open edition prints - which are cheaper, mass-produced art or poster prints - each piece of limited edition art in the Wall To Wall Gallery portfolio is limited to a fixed number, which protects its authenticity and value. Your piece of limited edition art will be sequentially numbered and signed by the artist, usually on the bottom right hand corner of the piece.

Is there any way I can purchase a previously sold-out piece of art?

Our art consultants are sometimes able to source rare or sold out prints. For more information, please Contact Us.

What is a giclée print?

Giclée printing is a form of printing that results in an extremely accurate and high quality representation of an image. Using fade-resistant, archival inks, a giclée piece of art faithfully reflects the vibrant colours, textures and intricate detail of an original piece of art.

How is the authenticity of a piece of art proven?

Wall To Wall Gallery is committed to protecting the integrity of each piece of art we sell. In order to guarantee the authenticity of our art, each piece is sold with a bespoke certificate and is signed by the artist. We advise exercising caution when buying a piece of art from a third-party source, as Wishbone Fine Art does not authenticate these.

What is limited edition art?

Limited edition art is a translation of an original piece of art. Wishbone has a team of highly skilled atelier assistants that reproduce original pieces using hand-embellishment to create a limited edition piece of art, which is very hard to distinguish from the piece of art it originated from.

Do you sell original art?

Yes. We have a wide portfolio of original art. Our current originals can be viewed on our Original Art page. If you cannot see an original you like, please register your interest with us and we will do our utmost to source it for you.

What is original art?

Original art is a piece of art, which has been created by the hand of an artist, rather than translated into limited edition art.

How can I be sure a particular piece of art is right for my home?

You can buy art from our local galleries on a home approval basis. This will allow you to view your chosen art in situ for seven days, if within this time you decide your art is not right for your home, you may return it, in the condition you bought it in and either take a refund or exchange it for another piece of art until you are sure.
